The Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the Republic of Lithuania, H.E. Dr. Alexander Scerri Herrera, presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Latvia, on 13 February 2024, at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius.
The presentation of credentials was preceded by the Ambassador presenting his Copie d’Usage to the Head of State and Diplomatic Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign an Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. During his visit to Vilnius, Ambassador Scerri Herrera met with the Head of the European Commission Representation and the Apostolic Nuncio. He also held meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania with the Vice Minister and Director for European Bilateral and Regional Cooperation, where current Affairs and potential areas for further collaboration between Malta and Lithuania were discussed.
Throughout the visit in Vilnius, the Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Daniel Sammut, First Secretary at the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta.
