Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade Ian Borg represented Malta in a commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, on Tuesday, in Washington.

The Minister thanked US Secretary of State Antony Blinken for inviting the foreign ministers of all the Organization’s partner countries to this commemoration.

“Our country supports all efforts to continue promoting fundamental freedoms and human rights, while safeguarding freedom, justice, and peace through dialogue and democracy,” the Minister said.

Malta forms part of this Organization’s Partnership for Peace initiative, with an Individual Tailored Partnership Programme that respects Malta’s neutrality commitments.
