On 25 January 2024, Ambassador Clarence Leslie Pace presented Letters of Credence to His Excellency Zoran Milanovic, President of the Republic of Croatia.
Ambassador Pace was escorted to the Office of the President where the Commanding Officer of the Guard of Honour saluted him, and after being welcomed by the Chief of Protocol of the President, proceeded to the Stateroom and was led to the Library where he signed the Guest Book.
Following the presentation of the Letters of Credence an exchange was held with His Excellency the President of the Republic of Croatia where the excellent relations between the two countries were noted as well as the mutual desire to further strengthen the bilateral relations.
Also present at the ceremony were high ranking representatives of the Office of the President including the Adviser to the President for Foreign and European Policy and the Secretary of the Cabinet for Foreign and European Policy. The Director General for European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia was also in attendance.
The Ambassador was accompanied by his spouse Ms. Audrey Pace, and by Mr. David Muscat, Counsellor at the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Malta.
Following the ceremony an exchange of views on bilateral matters was held with the representatives of the Office of the President and once concluded Ambassador Pace was escorted to the Main Entrance for a final salute by the Commanding Officer of the Guard of Honour.
In the morning of 25 January 2024, Ambassador Pace presented the Copie d’Usage to the Head of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia. On 26 January 2024 meetings were held with the Director General for European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Ms Zrinka Ujevic, and with the Honorary Consul for Malta, Dr Zrdavko Kacic.
