The Embassy works to advance the bilateral relations between Malta and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, primarily through diplomatic relations with the Saudi Government, commercial contacts as well as various initiatives in other sectors. It is the Embassy’s role to promote Malta’s interests in the country.

Malta and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have a long-standing relationship which continues to grow. This strong relationship is based on mutual bilateral interests and, more broadly, on a common objective to ensure peace and stability in our regions.

As a country in the centre of the Mediterranean enjoying strong links with the Arab world and a member of the European Union since 2004, Malta is uniquely placed to work with our partners in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. For these same reasons Malta is an ideal location for investment, trade and education in addition to being a top tourism destination.
