Update on travel to and from Malta – 10.05.2022
As from
the 11th of April 2022,
all persons arriving in Malta from a red-listed
country (as detailed on:
https://deputyprimeminister.gov.mt/en/health-promotion/covid-19/Pages/travel.aspx)
shall not be required to submit to any period of
quarantine upon arrival as long as, upon their arrival in Malta, they are in
possession of,
either a vaccination certificate
or
a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test
performed not more than 72 hours prior to arrival
in Malta
or a negative COVID-19
Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)performed not more than 24 hours
prior to arrival in Malta;
or a certificate of recovery from COVID-19
valid for not more 180 days after the date of the first positive Polymerase
Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test result. Anyone who arrives in Malta without
one of the aforementioned documents shall be required
to submit themselves to a period of quarantine.
Children under the age of 6 that arrive in Malta will be exempt from showing any of the above and will not be required to quarantine.
