The tenth edition of the prestigious Jaipur Literature Festival saw the
first-time participation of renowned Maltese author Clare Azzopardi as part of Malta’s EU Council Presidency
cultural programme on 18-23 January 2017.
Ms Azzopardi took part in several readings
and interactive sessions on European literature in India and the short story
and children’s literature. She also read in the mother tongue, ‘Negotiating the
Net in the Teen Years’. The Jaipur Literary Festival is the major literary
event in India welcoming writers from around the world across 30 languages with
the aim of celebrating the “joys of books, ideas and genuine dialogue”.
