Mrs
Marlene Bonnici presented her credentials as Ambassador of the Republic of
Malta to the Kingdom of Denmark to Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II at Fredensborg
Palace on 15 March, 2019.
During
her exchange with Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, Her Excellency Mrs Bonnici
noted the existing excellent bilateral ties
between the two EU countries.
A
number of meetings with senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
the Kingdom of Denmark provided the
opportunity for discussions on the priorities of the two countries in a number of
areas of mutual interest, including further co-operation at EU level, especially
in the light of BREXIT and post BREXIT arrangements. Whilst noting the challenges
within the European and international contexts, the two sides noted the
potential for cooperation and exchange of experiences in sectors such as
climate change and development policy among others.
Ambassador
Bonnici was accompanied by Mr Simon Grech – Second Secretary at the Embassy of
Malta in The Hague.
