H.E. Mr. Roberto Pace, Ambassador, today paid a visit to the Collège de la Sainte Famille, a school established in Cairo by the Jesuits in 1879. The institution dates back to Pope Leo XIII, who wished to establish a seminary in Egypt to educate future Coptic Catholic priests and promote the education of young Egyptians as a service to Egypt.

Ambassador Pace was welcomed by Fr. Joseph Mizzi and Fr. Anthony Fenech, two Maltese Jesuit priests originally from Victoria, Gozo and Birgu respectively, who gave him a tour of the premises and introduced him to the congregation. Fr. Mizzi served as the Rector of the school from 2009-2015.
